The game Watchdogs ties into how much of your information is on facebook.  It shows you potential enemies, friends and people who you are in contact with you the most. Its amazing how much information that this website quickly got off of my facebook.

There definitely has to be a more powerful functioning data miners out there, the fact that something like this was coded just to promote a video game whatever else is out there is private. If any normal person can grab all of this information, someone who is clearly looking for that information would be able to easily find it if people are this active with this private information on the internet.

This shows that we have no privacy online. Even if we have private settings like we go on facebook, anyone can get this information if needed. If you have privacy settings aginst people who arent your friends that means anyone who is your friend on facebook can get it which is turn can easily lead to someone else who isnt your friend being able to get it.

Posting pictures and photos online does completely make it easier for people to research you on the internet. If you only have small details about a person you can easily go to google or facebook to look someone up and usually find them. I know there are people who I met at a bar once and by the time I got home I had a facebook invite from them, and all i remember giving them was my first name.

Devices like Google glass will increase surveillance. This is a problem because people can now unknowingly record you as such with the google glass. People will have even less privacy because not only can you record other people, but the google glass sees what you record and where you are at all times. If you are doing something illegal with the google glass, it knows,

Individuals should not have the responsibility to report digital security failures. As an individual who finds it fun to backdoor into websites due to their own failure helps me learn what not to do in the future. However an organization  or company should definitely  report these security flaws because it could be horrible for the customer or person affiliated with the organization.

As a consumer we should have the right to know if any of our private information has been accessed. However, if this information is already public through social media your private information may already be public. If your information has been accessed due to a security flaw and the organization knows about it, then it should be noted that your information may be compromised.

My opinion about shopping online does not change at all. There will always be vulnerabilities in which people will be able to get your information. I would not change my opinion because even if my information were able to be taken off the internet, if i was truly worried I would just get a reloadable creditcard and falsify my name but keep the address i would want it to ship to.

Illegal Downloading is not a victimless crime. Those people who are illegally downloading programs are taking away from the profits of the creators. The people who create music or programs that get their creations pirated makes it so they in turn have less revenue and may be unable to support themselves or the company.

Illegal downloading is the same as stealing because you are downloading something you are not paying for. You are stealing from the company or the artist. When you download music illegally you are taking away from that artists revenue and thus not giving them credit where its due.

MOOC’s definitely have the possibility of working as long as the people who want to learn follow through with it. If people follow the courses day by day just as a student would in a regular school setting it could be extremely beneficial. However after a while and the necessity isn’t there people would tend to fall off and putting their learning experience off a day, a week or month.

The downside is that even if you go through an entire course, its virtually useless to you. You can learn everything you need to from the MOOC however when applying for a job, you may have the knowledge to do the job, but not the degree. Most companies look for degrees and qualification if you dont have the degree you are 9 times out of 10 not going to get the job even if you are more qualified.

I personally consider anything that I don’t particularly post on my Social Media private. Now a days most of peoples lives aren’t private because everything is posted online. I could understand why people would keep social media and government separate but its not truely possible.

I personally don’t care if the government or companies were to go on my facebook for a background check or something along those lines. When I used to be a HR manager at another company, I would look up peoples face tooks to see if they had anything that they wouldn’t want everyone to see. On my Facebook, there are pictures of me drinking alcohol, but I am of legal age. However, I do not do drugs but if i did it wouldn’t be something i would be posting on my facebook. For example “Just smoked a huge blunt” ect.
